Everyone with an interest in Social Media is abuzz following the announcement on Monday, that Facebook began testing a new feature called ‘Collections’, which allows marketers to add ‘Want’ or ‘Collect’ buttons to news feed posts about products. Facebook has stated that the new feature is unrelated to Pinterest, but we can’t help but notice the similarity… you be the judge?

Linkedin’s Tweets Application set to be Shutdown

It is rumored that Linkedin will be shutting off the Tweets application on 31 January 2012, at which stage the application will be removed from all profiles and from the homepage. Any tweets imported from Twitter into the Linkedin network updates stream will however not be affected by this.

Youth Market ready to use Mobile as Wallets

PARIS, FRANCE: Consumers confirm strong interest in using their mobile phone as wallet according to a recent market poll sponsored by Alcatel-Lucent. These findings were uncovered as part of a youth market study exploring the appeal of a mobile wallet service.The study, conducted by Alcatel-Lucent, over a two week period this summer, with members of its Youth Lab, indicated that 81% showed a strong interest in the service and 89% would be willing to pay a monthly fee.
