Top Twitterers, Worldwide

From Ashton to Britney and now to the Lady Gaga herself, the twitter hall of fame is a fickle yet somehow predictable dame. Fickle in that the number of tweets tweeted has no direct correlation to Top Twitterers hall of fame status, and predictable in that the number of tweets tweeted has no direct correlation to Top Twitterers hall of fame status.

By way of Ashton Kutcher’s reign (with his tweets @ 6000+) being summarily toppled by Spears (@ 450+) earlier this year; Lady Gaga is, since August, holding court in Twitterville @ a mere 400+ tweets garnering a following of a staggering 6,406,060 (yes, six million) tweetizens.

Taking his tumble from ranking one to three perfectly in his stride, Kutcher claims, “I make stuff, actually I make up stuff, stories mostly, collaborations of thoughts, dreams, and actions. That’s me.”

A simple outlook on Twitter life that is/was the backbone of his long-standing popularity and let it be said – it works for him. With Ashton being one of only three men to make the cut in this female dominated arena and place in the Top 10 Top Twitterers Worldwide ranking stats according to Famecount.com.

Placing 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively, Ashton, Obama and Bieber make an interesting mix to say the least, indeed philosophers may well deem it necessary to speculate on the under laying social matrix of such a mélange.

Being surpassed, however, by ‘Mother Monster’, the queen of stage, style, VMA’s and now Twitterville – Lady Gaga – seemed preordained for Ashton. After all, how does a normal, level-headed, family man, madly in love with his wife compete with a meat dress?

He doesn’t, he happily rubs shoulders with the American President (Barack Obama in 4th place) and cheerfully tweets about his beautiful wife making it into the Top 20 Twitterers hall of fame (congrats Demi)!
